소다미술관은 예술을 통해 사회적 질문을 던지며 다름을 포용하는 공동체의 가능성을 탐색해 왔습니다. 2026년 봄, 화성시의 지역적 맥락을 담아 선보이는 《모두의 성장소설: The coming of us》는 다양한 문화가 공존하는 사회를 우리 모두가 함께 통과하는 ‘성장의 여정’으로 바라봅니다.

이번 전시는 낯선 세계와 부딪히며 견고했던 편견에 균열을 내고, 그 틈 사이로 각자가 지닌 고유한 삶의 서사를 섞어내며 마침내 ‘우리’로 거듭나는 성장소설의 문법을 따릅니다. 서로 다른 뿌리를 가진 이들이 한데 모여 일상을 일구는 화성시의 오늘 또한 지역 공동체 전체가 함께 써 내려가는 거대한 성장소설과 같습니다. 예술은 이제 ‘나’와 ‘너’를 넘어 ‘우리’가 공유하는 서사의 언어이자, 단절된 마음을 잇고 공존의 가능성을 증명하는 매개가 됩니다.

《모두의 성장소설: The coming of us》는 타인의 이야기를 읽는 자리가 아니라, 우리 스스로 연대의 방식을 질문하는 다정한 대화의 장입니다. 서로의 다름이 두려움이 아닌, 삶을 풍요롭게 만드는 역동적인 동력이 되는 순간을 이곳에서 마주하시길 바랍니다.

SODA Museum has long used art to pose social questions and imagine a community that truly embraces "difference." This spring, we present The Coming of Us, an exhibition rooted in the unique landscape of Hwaseong City. Here, we reframe our diverse society not as a challenge to be solved, but as a "journey of growth" that we navigate together.

The exhibition follows the narrative flow of a coming-of-age story—one that begins by colliding with the unfamiliar to break through rigid prejudices, weaving together the authentic life stories of each individual to eventually emerge as "Us." In contemporary Hwaseong, where people from diverse roots gather to build their lives, the city itself resembles a grand novel co-authored by its people. In this context, art serves as a shared language that transcends "I" and "You," bridging disconnected hearts and proving the beauty of coexistence.

The Coming of Us is not merely a place to read the stories of others; it is a space for warm dialogue where we ask how we can stand in solidarity. We hope you experience the moment when our differences cease to be a source of fear and instead become a vibrant force that enriches our lives.
